Gluing and Folding

Gluing & Folding: The process uses a tool or mechanical pressure to produce a sharply defined fold before securing the piece. In mechanical folding, the sheet is doubled between two rollers under an appropriate amount of pressure for the thickness of the paper. The end result is a sharp fold that virtually eliminates the paper’s natural tendency to brake or to remain flat. The glues used in securing the piece vary, depending on the materials being used.
